Connectathon-Process-Monitors

  1. Moore: Host a set of training sessions at or before the Connectathon so the monitors know where to pay special attention during the week.

Langer: Thoughts from a Monitor newbie

  1. Before the mtg, email out where and when to meet on the 1'st day
  2. tell us to bring our own red shirts (so we know they fit)
  3. get us a login on a test Kudo at least 2 weeks in advance. Figuring out this tool is the single greatest issue to being a monitor (assuming one knows IHE)
  4. tips and tricks sheet for Kudo
  5. pair newbies with vets for at least the first 1.5 days
  6. For vendors, setup Kudo with a Hierrarchy of tests so venders pick the 'single most inclusive'test rather then all the subtests below, (eg CPI - ARI_GSPS - ARI_Img)
  7. Add a test status "Extra Credit" for tests beyond the 3 required, but desired to be kept (not Aborted). This status would indicate the Monitor did not review the case, but gets it off the Monitor Worklist

Errors noted

  1. Test SWF_MODALITY_IM_Interface; Evaluation section bullet 3. (0040,0244) is not PPS ID. Rather it is (0040, 0253). Elements 244/245 are PPS Start_Date and STart_TIME

Mony:

  1. Printing professional looking IHE Connectathone vests are affordable and perhaps now due.
  2. Access to the KUDO tool all year can help monitors stay on top of the tool and perhaps help them in the real world.
  3. The KUDO tool is remarkable for what it does, thank you!
